After putting Pennzoil Syncromesh transmission fluid into my Ford Probe's transmission and feeling a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE difference in how smoothly it shifted, I was wondering if it would help my '00 GT's tranny. Do we use transmissions that use "yellow metals" for the syncro sets? This Syncromesh fluid is a GOD SEND and I'd really like to put it in the trans if it'll be alright for it.

Also, how many quarts does it take?

Can someone just tell me how many quarts of fluid the 5 spd trans case takes then??

I did my 2000 gt and I used 3 qt's been almost 10000 miles and no problem, I used a full synthetic atf fluid, hope this helps

Thanks man... I stopped by autozone on my way home from work and the computer said 3.27 quarts. But it specifically said to use synthetic Dexron III ATF fluid. HMmmmmm..... I didn't buy the stuff I wanted, I want to make sure it'll be ok in the trans.
