Default Seriously!? HELP! Cars Intake Air temps are too hot to inspect.

My car will not pass inspections. My mechanic said since he already overlooked the no catalytic converters he couldn't over look both things, my cars IAT's were reading around 170 degrees at idle I think. I have a supercharger and at idle its not even running I wouldnt figure, or atleast creating that much heat. The car is best cooled when moving, cause my intake is in the bottom of my bumper.

What the hell is happening? I fixed the code p0442 it was throwing it was a crushed hose. And now this crap?

Is that normal for a car to run so hot in abut 95 degree texas weather?

that sounds pretty hot, maybe call a local dyno shop and ask what temp it should be around. maybe your tempature sensor is going out tripping up your computer. or maybe it just runs that hot

Ok so I called my performance shop and they said that 150-220 degrees is actually normal for the IAT since its mounted ontop of the supercharger...

But the guy told me that it has to get below 120 degrees to reset the ECU from my recent p0442 code.

But hopefully we can get it to pass!
