Default Issues with brakes

So ever since i got my 02 GT ive been having an issue with my brakes. They make this really annoying creaking noise, similar to that of a creaking door, when i press on the brake pedal. The noise goes along with my foot, so if i press on the brake it makes noise, but if i quit pressing more on the pedal, the noise stops. I took it to the Ford Quick Lane to have them look at it while I got the oil changed and they said it was my rear brakes making the noise because they had almost no pad life left on them. So they put new pads and machined the roters and amazingly (not) the noise is still there. Not to mention they are screeching like no tomorrow now. Does anybody have any idea what the creaking noise might be? Any help would be great.

check out all your pads and rotors and look for uneven or unusual wear, or maybe its those little metal peices that hold your pads in place. only other thing it could really be is maybe your calipers. but those should be fine if you can find wear the noise is coming from exactly it will be easy to pin point because there are only so many moving parts with your brake system.

Awesome thank you, I will go home tonight and see if anything looks out of the norm. Also since a buddy of mine is going to be over Ill have him press on the brakes while I try to pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from.

The creaking for me had nothing to do with the pads or rotors, but the pedal itself. There is a piston on there, it dries out, put some lithium grease, all is well.

Where at on the pedal is the piston? How do I get to it? Sorry, still trying to teach myself how to work on cars.
