How hard is it to replace the shocks on an 01 vert gt?

you MAY or MAY NOT need an alignment. If your plate is mounted then no. if yours is not mount and its loose and moving around when you take your shock off then Yes you will.

There are 3 holes on the side and 3 on top making for 9 different settings. Look at where your holes line up and match that. some plates bolted down with those weird little rivit screws. some are not. depends on who did your last alignment.

you can get an alignment done for 20$ if you find a cheap place. very much worth getting it done to save on your tires.

No way I get a "cheap" alignment in my town. I checked on price of struts and alignment for a 2000 chevy van and they wanted 805.00! I was in shock.

For good struts you'll be looking at $300-400. Alignment will run around $75. But again you won't need an alignment when replacing struts.
