Looking for new door and quarter panel glass
#12
Ok, that's good. Based on what I can see, the glass can be saved. There is no need for buffing either. There is a product out called Safe Restore. You should be able to buy it online, it may depend on what state you live in though because it's very potent stuff. Please be sure to use a respirator, goggles, and rubber gloves if you decide to purchase it. If it contacts your skin, the product will irritate/burn and you could end up with a light chemical burn if you don't rinse it off after a while, and it will knock you over if you get a whiff of it(contains hydrochloric acid). You'll be amazed at how it melts that right off though. The glass doesn't look real bad, so I'd recommend diluting it with water. Apply with a cloth towel. The rubber around the window will be fine if the Safe Restore gets on it, just watch the paint. Keep a garden hose handy and keep the car wet. Outdoor conditions don't matter, just be sure to dry the glass. Safe Restore can be a little scary if you're not used to using it. We've tried other products over the years, like CC550 and MDR-B. Nothing comes close to Safe Restore.
