help! car problems! 2002 gt.
Ok so here is the story:
My dad bought a 2002 mustang gt with flood title at auction about 7 or 8 years ago. Car had 13,000 miles, would run and drive but had error codes and some electrical issues. Well my dad lost interest as well as a key and it sat in the yard for years.
I finally talked him into getting rid of it since he was never going to do anything with it. Called pop-a-lock and had a key made. To my surprise it started right up! Then I killed it and it wouldn't start again that day. The next day it started but died after a couple seconds. Thought it was out of gas.
Tried to put gas in it as it shows empty but It just doesn't seem to want to go down. I try putting it in really slow but it just spills everywhere. I tried putting a tube way down in the tank and pouring but still spills out. Whats going on? I do think I have a couple gallons in it by just letting it dribble in.
Still didn't crank anymore. There is a theft light blinking. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Also was wondering if the key that was made needed to be matched with the computer? Or could the fuel lines be gummed up?
Any help would be appreciated!

Being a flood car it could be any number of things wrong. You can always pull the fuel line and check for flow. Might have to pull the gas tank too. Or it could be 100s of electrical gremlins that could take for ever to find.
There is a reason why no one want's a flood car.

Key will need to be matched to the PATS system.
If it sat for 7 years, I hope you drained the gas tank before starting it. The complete fuel system will need to be flushed. May need to have the injectors professionally cleaned as well.
