What kind of driving conditions? Sitting in traffic alot? Lot of stop and go, or what? my 04 averaged 21.3 mpg when I filled it up last. And that was about 80%city driving and about 20% highway. Possible somethings wrong with your car.

I live in the suburbs so its pretty much 40mph everywhere and the occasional stop sign and light. Only stop and go traffic, is leaving my school parking lot.

What kind of mileage were you getting before? I know the 3.73 gear will decrease the mileage a little bit but it shouldnt be that bad.

Well, either way, it wont hurt to get your car checked out. Get it hooked up to a computer and see whats up. I would. By the way, what kind of mileage did the previous owner say he got?

Yeah, highway driving will make a difference. I would say you should get at least 16 or 17 in the city. 17 is the worst ive ever gotten. But I know there have been improvements to the stang since 96.

I was getting 17.5 @ 80% city driving. Since the intake and pulleys, I'm getting 19.5 usually.

I just drove from MD to OH earlier this week. Even driving the mountains of western MD and WV, I got 26.9 highway. I'm betting 28 on flats at 70 MPH.
