99 GT auto. drag, 4.10s/4.30s
Did well w/ my Mach at the track but I'm now in a whole new ball game. Lost over 100 hp while going from a stick to an auto. I'm familiar with how to make a car go faster but need a little feedback to decrease the chance of putting one gear in then wanting the other. In a nutshell, I need to know if 4.30s are too much with stock tire height. Paladinmicro gear calculator puts 3rd gear 6k rpm @ 103 mph, 6200 is 107. The eventual goal for the car is a 12.99 n/a. I guess the two main questions to be answered is with the auto 2V what rpm should I be crossing the traps (tach redline w/ stock gear is 5800) and what mph it generally takes to crack into the 12s. Thanks for any help.

what are the total mods? my old gt ran a 13.2 with full bolt ons minus headers and a 4k stall, on dr's and it only trapped 102. if you get a stalled auto car to trap 107 then you're 12's.
also, 4.30's are gonna be a good thing for what you want, dont plan on good mileage on the highway tho. but if you cam the car and with 4.30's then put in a stall and a spiral ring retainer in the trans you can rev to 6500 safely and will be running some good times for a n/a auto 2valve.
