I have a question I hope someone here can answer. At my work across the parking lot there is a mechanic shop and one of the mechanics comes by my work few times a week. Last Friday he came by and said he had a cold air intake from a F150 that a customer had the mechanic install but came back few days later saying it made too much noise and to remove it. Now the mechanic is selling it and is asking for $100. He said its a K&N cold air intake but I have not seen it. He said the motor is similar and it will fit no issues or CEL's. I forgot to ask what year the truck was but he said same 4.6L engine. Does anyone know if this is true? I know from what I read not to expect any HP gains but for $100 sounds like a good deal plus I would not mind the "noise" it makes. Advice? By the way I have 2002 GT.
Long as the truck had a mod motor it will work with ur engine , but its the physical dimension it be worried about. Also i cant remmeber whigb side of the motor the throttle body faces on the truck
id go on k&n website look up what intake ford truck uses and then look up your mustang and see if it is same intake as far as stock number and dimensions and then go from there or worst case buy it from him see if he has box put it back in take it back to an auto part store and try to return it for the right one and just say my mom wife whatever got it for me as a gift and it was wrong one could i exchange it
Really? Damn that sux I thought I was gonna get a good deal for the car. I will ask to see it and try to take pics of it to post it on here see what you guys think but from the comments prob wont work.

If I am correct the throttle body is in the front of the intake in the F150. If that is so, it probably wont fit properly.
