Throttle response is not a crisp but makes the intake bark alittle more. Not really any noticable gains other than that.

when you take it off. are you putting a k&n filter on. it also helps if you shield the filter from the engine heat.

I didn't because I plan on installing a full cold intake system. i jsut pulled the rubber snorkal off and left the factory filter. sounds meaner but never noticed a power gain.

so all u r really doing is taking the plastic cover off and removing the snorkel to the fender well right. i would imagine that u have to use a k&n filter with it right since it is not covered from engine heat

Running a K-N doens't cool the air down. It just allows air to enter the motor with less restriciton. And yes I just pulled the snorkal out and left the airbox.

all I've noticed by removing me air silencer is that when I step on it it gets to the higher rpms much faster....I never noticed makin my car louder tho
