You may have seen this:

Weight: 2300 tons
Bore: 38"
Stroke 98"
Cylinders: 14
Displacement: 25,480 L
Length: 89 feet
Height: 44 feet
Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm
Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm

At maximum output it consumes 1,660 gallons/hour for an amazing 0.26 lb/hp BSFC (our cars use 0.50 lb/hp running n/a, 0.60 lb/hp boosted)...

They make a little 6-cylinder model too:

Yea, thats a good way to put it. When I tell people I work on diesels they think I work at a truck stop or something. But when I tell them the pistons I pull are 10" across and the rod is 4 feet tall they are suprised.
