Odd window switch/motor problem

Odd window switch/motor problem
So since i bought my vehicle many years ago, i've had a problem with rolling the passenger window up. I could work the window up and down on the driver side, but the passenger wouldn't move it at all.
HOWEVER, the passenger side with the button depressed, will not allow you to move the window at all from the driver side. weird. but i lived with it, no big deal, i'll just used it from the driver side.
Now the window will roll down, but will not roll up without an hour worth of persuasion.
So is this the SWITCH, or the MOTOR, or both? I have an extra motor, but no switch. The main question is, how do i replace both and will that fix the problem. I have looked in my haynes manual and i see nothing. I have the interior door panel removed. now what?

I had the same issue with mine.
Here is what I've checked:
Switch, buy a new one and replace it... all you got to do is pull it out and push the new one in.
Here is one in ebay or at least try to find a new one since this one will be done in about 12 hours:

If this doesn't work... you need to check your wires in the driver's door. You'll see the boot where all the wires go from the door into the car. It is very uncomfortable to work on this but at least it'll be cheaper than buying a new regulator. I've found mine to be split like if someone cut it. I guess is from all the opening and closing. Just follow the wires from the windows control and try to locate it in the boot.
Now if this doesn't work... then you'll need to replace the regulator/motor. I did this before I checked the wire... when I replace mine... it still didn't work... so make sure you check your wire...
Here is the video from 1A Auto... I found this company to have good parts for our cars:
and here is their web page where they sell them... this is for the pair... they do sale them individually but it never hurts to have the spare for the other one...
