Get A 99+ Get a supercharger, exhaust, and gears to start. I wish I had the cash for a supercharger...

get the 99. there's about a 40HP difference between the 99+ and 98-. as he said, get a blower for that biatch. that'll run you about 3500 for a new kit. you could find used kits for about 2000-2500 though if you want. don't forget your boltons too. gears, exhaust, etc. don't bother with the CAI if you plan on getting a blower though. just get a K&N filter for the time being.

youre best prices are obvioulsy gonna be on a 96-98,, but youre gonna be some money in the hole performance wise

if you get a 99 (which i have) you shoudl be able to get a nice one for well below 12K

from there,

gears, exhaust, tires,

thats a good start for well under 2K

Hmmm....thats weird, 9 should buy a decent cobra. I mean it is a decade old car. Cuz if your planning to get a sohc GT and mod it, with the cobra you get the whole package. THe dohc engine, the suspension, the brakes, the MEAN looks. If i were you id try really hard to save a lil bit more, the cobra IMO is a far superior machine.

Get a 94-95 if it's a GT because the 5.0's are easy to mod and it's also pretty cheap. But if you want the 4.6 then 99+. 98's are crap. I would defintally look into finding a cheap 98 cobra though. They're nice cars.
