Default Water Leak ?

How could water get under my driver side floor mat, a lot of water. I ruled out radiator fluid, and Ive not been using the AC so what else could it be? I find it odd that there was so much under the floor mat and the top of the floor mat was dry.

It rained a lot recently but it doesnt seem to be any kind of leak.

Floorboards may be rusted through, I had that happen on a couple of older cars years ago when I lived in New England. You'll need to pull the carpet and padding and see what you can see.

One thing for sure, if it is rusted through in one or more places it will not get better by being ignored...

ok had a leak again. this time the orange trail was prominent. The heater core is leaking water out but only when the car gets hot.

everything is dry now and I shampooed the carpet.Prolly going to pull up some carpert tomorrow and inspect for rust.
