Default Bore sizes

Well my winter build hasn't been going too well. Had the motor dipped/pickled or whichever term you choose. Picked it up today and took it to the machinist, well cylinder 8 has some pitting. So my question now is what would be a reasonable over bore for my motor? I'm keeping it NA, and if possible use the original crank. But that's why I am here and asking. Any feedback would be great. Thanks in advance guys.

My understanding has been that 0.030" is the maximum safe overbore for the iron block.

Your machine shop can help with this decision.
