Aluminum crossover swap

Aluminum crossover swap
Hey,
I have a PI manifold that is possibly cracked, it has the second temp sensor mod for a 98. Can the crossover tube be swapped onto the new manifold sucessfully, so I dont have to drill and tap again. Is it gasketed, or can it just be RTV'd ?
Thanks

The crossover uses formed gaskets contained in grooves in the manifold's plastic flanges--you should be able to swap it over to the new manifold.
When the retaining groove on the thermostat side of the stock manifold on my '03 failed (see below) I disassembled it and scraped out all the deteriorated plastic, then cleaned it so you could have eaten from it (very important) and put it all back together with J-B Weld--that was 1-1/2 years and 25k miles ago.

fixed up with J-B Weld:
Using J-B Weld requires the following:
Doing all of the above will likely result in a better seal that did the original gaskets--that was all designed for easy and quick assembly more than to make sure those sucka's were sealed and bonded. I have a new FRPP manifold in my attic, bought just in case, and I have half-a-mind to take it apart and stick it together with J-B Weld if I ever need to use it...
