wheel Gap of 2000 mustang gt
so im looking to lower my mustang gt 1.5 inches but i was worried about the huge wheel gap i already have. i was comparing it to my friends 2004 gt and his gap is a lot smaller than mine so i was wondering if it is because i have 18 in wheels or what? i just want the wheels up in the fender so it has a nice stance

Is it possible that his mustang has been lowered already? I've never heard of varying ride height between new edge mustang year models. The 18 inch wheels you have should help fill that gap, but it also depends on what kind of tire you're running. My v6 mustang had 225/55/16's, but I bought new 225/60/16 tires due to an availability issue. It made a noticeable wheel gap and ride height change (had the 225/55/16 for a year or more).
Either way, dropping your ride 1.5 inches will definitely give your car a more aggressive stance. Also how wide are your tires? Staggering the rear wheels (with spacers or wide wheels) gives it a much more planted look.

The tires I have on now are 245/40/18 but I'm switching to staggered before I lower it. So I'll be going with 285/35 idk if that will make a difference in ride height or not. But my friend has 17 in wheels and i know for sure the car hasn't been lowered and it's a noticeable gap difference between mine and his.
