There is no immobilizer on a 2001 Mustang, unless you have a dealer installed or aftermarket alarm system that added one.
The 1999 through 2004 Mustangs have the type C PATS which disables the fuel pump and injectors when tripped. Only the 2005+ Mustangs have starter interruption incorporated into the PATS
