Forgot to mention that the valve train spins half as fast as the bottom end so if it seems to match engine RPM it's bottom end if it sounds about half as fast it's either the timing set or it's in the heads. Also always stick with the 5w20 that engine should not be worn enough to require heavier oil at 100k.

Well here's an update:

I havent checked back here in a while cuz works been crazy. Thanks a lot for the advice Stevo, I'll be seeing if it sounds like it's matching up with the RPM's or not in the morning. BUT, I did end up switching out the oil the other day from 5-20 with some oil aditive i had in, to straight 30w oreillys brand oil. The engine seems to be running a lot smoother now, and the noise is almost un noticable from over the engine, but under the driver side front fender it seems to be clacking a little bit.... Some days it's worse than others- That's the weirdest part. I don't know what to do though, because it's running great it seems.

I think im gonna take it to my mechanic this weekend and see what he has to say about it, and maybe open it up to take a peek. We will see. Thanks a lot for the feedback everyone!

Good luck, bud. I was hearing an alarming amount of valve noise a few weeks back. Turned out I was a quart low on oil. I had recently changed the oil pressure sensor and spilled more oil than I had thought. Felt like an idiot. :-/ Doesn't sound like your problem is that simple, unfortunately.
