Hi my mustang is randomly stalling out. whether it be going 40mph on the middle of the highway to sitting waiting for the light to change. what happens is the radio goes out, then all my dials completly jump up then I lose all control brakes, steering all gone untill i restart the car. When it started it was only a few times here and there but know its atleast 2 times every five minutes. when i took the car to the family mechanic he wasnt heplful at all saying an estimate to looking at and fixing the car would be anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand I know its probably electrical I just dont know where to start. Any help would be apreciated Thanks

When the car is idling in nuetral, try gently moving your ignition key around and see if it shuts down. Because the radio is the first to go out it makes me think ignition switch (something loose or broken inside)Check your battery post clamps also, make sure they are clean and tight.

Oh ok thanks Ill check that out! the battery connections are good though i just put new ones on seeing if that was the problem a week ago. Didnt think of the ignition switch Thanks !

Hi so i checked what you said and checked the ignition and nothing happened. So I let her sit for a couple of days(sadly haha)Then i let her warm up for a few minutes then went to practice and on the way back she lurched forward in the middle of the road. I wasnt shifting or anything. Same scenario the batter turned off and on and then everything died again.....
