Bought a 2000 gt from a small dealer last year and kind of got a mixed bag of goodies. Car is running a few mods but recently replaced the clutch and ordered a "standard" 10.5 in clutch but come to find out I needed an 11in. Apparently the Trans has been swapped out in the past with a possible cobra Trans? How would I figure this out? Where would any stampings be to find out what's installed?

It could be that they simply went to the later model tranny if I remember correctly. The ones in the 01-04 GT's were T-3650's which used a 11in clutch so it could be just that. What mark of tranny did you end up buying your clutch for?

Ah what make, you know I'm not real sure bc the guy who installed it ordered the second clutch and all he told me was it needs an 11in clutch

My guess is that's what it is. I have an 03 mustang gt and that's the clutch I use and I have a 5 speed as well.
