The wiring for the fuel pump should be by the fuel tank. I would just check if there is power going to the fuel pump.

If you just turn the ignition to the "on" position you should hear the pump kick on to prime the car, but if not hook up a fuel pressure guage and crank it to see if there is pressure. Sometimes Autozone or Advance Auto has these tools that they will let you borrow, if not, I picked one up at Sears for about $40 and I use it more then I originally thought I would. Did you disconnect the pump when you dropped the tank? Check all connections.

So its getting no fuel or very little if any. If I pour a little fuel down the intake it starts but it wont stay running for very long. If I give i press the accelerator slowly it will go all the way threw the rpms but if I give it a quick press it cuts out almost as if it will stall then catchs and goes the the rpm that it should be at. It still wont start on its own. Everything is plugged in, fuel pump and all.

You need to check you're pressures it's cutting out when you stab the throttle because the engine is getting a bunch of fresh air and no fuel.

so its been a while since I could get to the car again and it seems to be throwing a P1233 - Fuel System Disabled or Offline code a couple other ones to saying its running lean. That code seem to stand out the most though. Any thoughts on what could be making it pop that code.

Fuel pump is probably gummed up from the old fuel.
