Default GT 2 MACH ???

Hey guys on my 2001 mustang GT I want to get a Mach 1 hood from a salvage yard or somewhere. I don't care for the CDC System to much I like the Mach 1 Hood Scoop and air intake. If I get the hood then how should i do the air intake where can i get that system and could that use my MAC CAI? If i get just the hood all I will need is the air intake how should I do this?

You will need the shaker, unless you plan on filling in that huge hole in the middle of the hood.

CDC. Call ford and ask if you can modify one for a 2v. I'm not too sure about that.

Go to www.cal-mustang.com they have the shaker system for the GT. 800.00 though. Kinda costly.

yea dont waste your money on buying a mach 1 hood, the cdc kit gives you a applet to lay down on your hood so you can cut it. cdc is pretty much the only way to go on that though

I have seen the conversion at ford fun weekend last summer here in florida. When i talked to the guy see said it was very pricey. (hood, shaker, install kit, for $1,600 not painted.)But it did work. Also he had to cut his airbox to get the shaker pipe to fit. The CDC kit is much more resonable. And most shops will install and cut hood for $300 around here. So about $1,100 installed with kit verses $1,600 with no paint. Both look good and do the samething. Either way it is a expensive project.
