Default platic intake

does the 2004 mustang have a plastic intake manifold. If not, when did ford stop using plastic

I think ALL have the plastic intake

the intake you want to watch out for is the one without the aluminum x-over.

That is the portion witch the hose connects.

You do have a plastic lower intake manifold. If you look between the valve covers, you will see a black plastic peice with the plenum sitting on top of it. Not all Mustangs have them though. The Machs and older Cobras have metal intakes.

You should have a plastic one with an aluminum crossover. To make sure follow the top radiator hose to the intake manifold where it connects to the t-stat. If the t-stat housing is aluminum you are good.
