My ideas for my upcoming stang!

I was 19 when I first got my V8 mustang. My insurance was $320 a month for full coverage. For a '96 Mustang GT I thought was pretty expensive, but I really didn't care at the time. Im now 23 and it's a little cheaper. it went from $320 to $180 for full coverage.

update i guess haha. So i was talking to my mom and she is cool with a gt! The only thing she hates is the MPG a v8 will get. So she is thinking i should get a v6 wich she thinks will be better. Myy truck now gets 12mpg city , which is all i do(for the most part). How bad is gas mileage for a V8?
Also could some plz list some benifits of having a GT vs V6..... i explained to her that if i got a V6 i would just dump $600+ just on a exshaust.

I never had a v6 so idk how it compares to a v8 but I do have a mach 1 and I drive to college every other day which is 62 miles away so 62 miles to school and 62 back home. Half country roads and half city and I get 21 mpg. I know I can do wayyyy better but i just can't seem to keep my foot off the gas oh and I never use cruise control.

V6 Mustangs really don't do a whole lot better than V8's as far as gas mileage and the V8 is way more reliable. In my old V8 with 3.73's I would get around 19 or 20 around town, 23 or 24 on trips. My new one with the stock gears gets 18 or 19 around town, 24-26 on trips. I was a little surprised the 3.73's actually seem to do better around town, but I guess it makes sense cause you can use 5th a lot more.
