Anyone know the difference between the 82-93 Clutch fork and the 94-04 fork?

Ok, I changed the clutch in my cobra and of the tabs that holds the clutch fork onto the pivot stud was broken off. I thought I would just get another one, yeah, thats not going to happen because there are precisely 0 forks in the USA. Ford doesn't have them, dallas mustangs doesn't have them, LMR, etc, none left and no ETA on restock. Get on ebay and they are gouging the hell out of the price for a new one, or you can take a chance with a junkyard. Since I don't want to pay double what the damned thing is worth, I just threw it back in the car, it's made it this long without it.

Now on to my question. You can get the 82-93 fork all day long for dirt cheap and they look to be the exact same with the exception to the bolt on reinforcement on the 94+ fork. So can anyone tell me definitively yes or no, will it work, or am I going to have to be the guinea pig on this one?

It wont work. Its a different bell housing, and different transmission in general. It wont line up. You will need to stick with a 94-04 clutch fork only.

I should be getting some back in stock very soon.

They look very close to me and since the 94-95 mustang uses the T-5, not the T45, I don't see how it can be a different transmission. Hell at worst, I might be able to drill the rivets out and use the steel plates.
