Steering Wheel jerks while braking during a turn

So about two months a go my car started leaking ps fluid from the left inner tie rod boot. During this time i feltlike the car wandered even on level roads. So I went ahead and replaced the rack and pinion as well as the outter tie rods. The car still felt like it wandered so i replaced the rack and pinion bushings. Now i noticed that the steering wheel jerks when i tap the brakes during a turn. My first thought was maybe a bad caliper but the steering wheel jerks in the direction opposite to the turn. So if im turning left it jerks right and vise versa. Brake pads and rotors are new. 97k on the car. Any ideas?

I also want to add that the car stays dead straight when braking in a straight line.

It is hard to say without getting underneath it. Are you sure the alignment was reset correctly?

I did get an alignment after the rack and pinion install. Car drives straight.

they may have adjusted for caster and camber, but what about Toe?

I called the shop and I'm taking it back on friday so they can recheck the alignment. Hopefully it will take care of the problem. ill post results. thanks for the responses

Ok so when i got home i noticed something. When i parked i tapped the brake and the steering wheel jerks if its not centered in the straight ahead position. How the hell can the brakes move the steering wheel even at a complete stop?????

ok, so I had the alignment checked and it was indeed off. shop said my subframe was missing a bolt and was moving a little. So I had them place a new bolt and do another alignment. everything is back in spec now and guess what??? It STILL does the same thing. no difference at all. so now I know its not an alignment issue. tomorrow im checking ball joints wheel bearings and control arm bushings. its got to be one of those. ill post results
