Default The drone killer

Well this has been a long process between doing my homework and getting all the parts/equipment I needed. I have always wanted to build my own exhaust, so I bought a welder of CL and some pipe and went to town. Who would have though L/T's+catless mids+single 3.5" with a magnapack = drone??

I will answer any questions but won;t go into all the detail. You can read this thread until your eyes fall out of you head here:
http://forums.corral.net/forums/gene...tely-gone.html

Initial exhaust design:

Left side is stock, right is custom:

Here is the pipe I added being 29" long to cancel my 1750rpm drone:

Calculations I used:

Pulses/second = (1750rpm * 4) / 60 = 116.6Hz
Resonator Length = ((1125/116.6Hz) / 4) x 12" = 29"

You will need to substitute my 1750rpm with whatever drone rpm YOU have.
It works...I was iffy on it but after doing some research that people have had great results on Tundra/Camaro/G8 GT/Tuner forums...I had to try it.

Yes my exhaust is loud having only a single 3" magnaflow magnapack right before the tip, but my cruising speed of 70mph the drone is EASILY 80%-90% reduced.

The last pic is on the car.

BTW, this is a 04 GTO not a mustang if you didn't catch on to the completely different undercarriage design.

****ty video for now:

I think its cool that it is still loud and sounds good.

I remember when you put the original thread up about this and I was thinking that you just wanted a quiet exhaust, so the whole time i was sitting here thinking when this is all done this is going to sound horrible, but I was wrong haha

Well I found the original thread/idea on corral. I can't take all the credit, but yes I did my homework and took a weekend to make it.
