Expect to get half the mods for twice the money. 4.6 is way more expensive to mod much less a cobra. I dont know what id do. I like the cobra, but if i get on it will be 03,04. I might stick with 5.0 cuz u can get a supercharger for way less than a 4.6.

Get an 03,04 cobra. You wont be sorry. I know someone that has an 04 and that thing is insane. I wish I could of got that over my GT, but at the time it would of been like 7000 more. Couldnt do it. Now im looking at getting NOS in the spring.

I would get the 96 cobra. But a 5.0 cobra would be better if possible, because of the price of mods like metioned above.

Well I am 16, and don't have an insane budget..and the 5.0 was built with the help of my dad and now this will be totally my car and my Daily Driver..not gonna make it anywhere near as insane as the 5.0 is..can't afford a 03 or 04 and can get this for real cheap..only reason im looking at it...

5.0 > 4.6 but I say go for it anyway unless you can get an SN95 cobra 5.0 for a decent price. Modding the cheaper 4.6 might cost just as much as paying a little more for the 5.0 and doing the same mods.....

Def. go for the 5.0 - especially with your budget. The 4.6 is pretty expensive to mod.
