Default rear end question

my dad has a 96 gt with all the QA1 suspension parts on it, lately i been driving it cause my car is down, the other day, i rode in my friends 03 complete bone stock mustang gt, and it grips so much better and doesnt spin first, second and 3rd like the 96 does, someone said something about the rear end in the 03 being different that ford installed a lock to stop it from spinning? if so, can i swap rear ends from an 03 into a 96 without any problems?

heres a picture for you guys to enjoy

Tire type, gear ratio and spring/shock combo can play a factor in tire spin. As for the rear ends, theyre pretty much the same.

Im talking about rear end gears. More than likely it has something like 4.10s way you are describing everything.
