The 02 has about 100k on the clock. I'm not exactly sure because when I bought the car one of the first things I did was to swap out the instrument cluster for a NOS Bullitt cluster.

I think the original cluster had around 36k on the clock when I pulled it and I'm just cracking 70k on the Bullitt cluster so....

About 135,000 on my 1996 GT. Around 90,000 I did valve stem oil seals and dropped factory PI cams in as well when fixing an oil burning problem.

My current car 2000 GT I bought with 75,000 6 years ago and now has 135,000. Before this one I had a 1998 GT that I sold with 187,000 miles and I saw it a few years ago and talked to the guy and it had just over 200,000, no clue where its at now. The 4.6L might not make the most power but it sure does last a long time.

My dad had a Cougar with that motor and he put close to 200,000 miles on it and gave it to my niece who drove it some more.

She sold it still in running condition.

Sh*t its a couple hundred away from the 100k mark today...doesn't seem like I drove it that much eh, put a majority of the miles on up until about the end of sept 2013.

Mine was at 119,504 when I decided to do a 5.4L DOHC swap.

I just pulled my 99 engine apart with 115k on it. Looks like new inside and measured out to exact factory specs. 0 wear or taper in the cylinders. I was very surprised.

Its a long shot but do you know if the previous owner used a synthetic or synth blend motor oil?
