2003 GT 5speed. i havent had this car for too long so im still gettin used to it and picking out the bugs but i seem to get a tick frm the motor when accelerating around the 2k-3k rpm range. doesnt seem to tick when idling or at least havent noticed it. will prob take it to a shop sumtime soon for a full diagnostic jus a lil short on cash. i want that tick gone tho... also anyone in the sacramento CA area kno of some good mechanics around here. thanks for reading any info or help would be great thinking about puttin sum sea foam into it, nd new oil jus to see if it helps. thanks again

id have to say yes im not exactly sure what u mean tho. its only noticable when in 1st gear thru 3rd when im jus daily driving. i jus dont wanna thro a rod or sumthing like that

Rod knock sounds like hitting 2 hammers together its load and a distinctive noise does the tick speed up with rpms

It does speed up with rpms. Nd i had a buddy check it out today kinda leaning more torwards a exaust leak possably frm the cat. Which would be a great relief sence i have only had this mustang for a week. Going to get sum soapy water in a spray bottle nd see if i can find this leak. Fingers crossed. Nd ill put up sum photos soon :P
