Exclamation Bad TOB retainer sleeve? Video Included.

Hey guys. I know there is a thread on this already but it's old and not sure if I posted, it would get seem. I have a 96 Cobra with a T45 and I think the TOB retainer sleeve is bad. New clutch installed when supercharger was install two years ago. With the dust cover installed on trans, the noise is a ticking noise. The clutch fork has so much vibration (pretty sure as you can see in video, that's too much vibration), it hits the dust cover. Check out the video and tell me what you think.

Also, I found a new sleeve on ebay here

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261172507053...S:1123&vxp=mtr

It says T-56 and T45 but not sure if this is accurate?

Also, where can I get a Timken TOB? Autozone doesn't list them on their site

Yeah, that is what my old 98 did and it was that sleeve. It could be the clutch fork stud too, so change it while you are in there. Get a ford racing throwout bearing, it's the best one.

So the t56 sleeve from the link will work on my T45?

Are you saying this TOB?

Where do I get the stud for bell housing?

Thanks for your help.

I don't know on the sleeve if the T56 will work. That is the correct TOB. Late Model Restoration has the pivot stud.

I found the stud and Ford racing bearing on Late Model Restoration, thanks. I was hoping that t56 sleeve will work becasue you can't find one for a t45. My local Ford place said they are discontinued. :/

Hate it when they do that. The clutch fork was discontinued for a while, but LMR finally got them back in stock. From what I am reading, you have to take the transmission apart to install that new sleeve. Might be better to just snag a used T45.
