Oil blowing out RADIATOR. No oil in block, no coolant in oil
#21
I'm glad I found this thread ,,,, I'm starting to get traces of oil in my coolant , I'm not a happy guy right now but I'll defiantly be looking more into the oil filter adapter plate before I start ripping off the heads.

I am hoping to find the issue without having to tear BOTH heads off. I've spent a lot of time studying this since it happened and it is a very slow leak. The plate didn't help me stop the leak in my case. If it is one of the heads I wish I could find out which and just pull that one instead of both.

How much oil is it actually going through???? I've just noticed this happening to mine and it's really bothering me ,,,,, if it were a head gasket wouldn't a little coolant blow past the leak when the engine is still hot and the rad is still under pressure but the engine not running ??? I see no antifreeze in the oil at all , but small amounts of oil in the rad ?????
If I were to add some oil dye it should show up in the antifreeze to would it not ???? Also gonna finish this stint at work and do a compression test , if it is one of the head gaskets it should show up in the test too.

Its not going to show up on a compression test if you're not getting coolant in the oil. Itll likely be a jacket non cylinder related. A leak as small as this is going to appear as a slightly worn ring at best.

Any reason why this wouldn't fit my 98 gt? http://bit.ly/11wCYnb
I need to try some cheap gaskets first to see if that really is the issue.
