My Power Mods.

My Power Mods.
So I was asked earlier what mods I had made to get 298 Hp/323 tq to the wheels. Here is what I have:
CAI, 75mm TB w/intake elbow and spacer, udp's, Long tube headers, catted x-pipe, MHS Nitrous Stage 1 cams and a tune by Kurgan Motorsports.
The rest of the engine is completely stock as it arrived from Ford.
With the nitrous on a 48 jet, it made the power you see in the sig.
As you can see it's a pretty simple set up. I'll be glad to answer any questions.

I took about 8 hours and I never get in a hurry. Pulling the timing cover is the best way, do not mess around with holding tools. Yes it can be done in a home garage, the only specialty tool really needed is a puller for the crank pulley.
My cams did not require springs and that cuts down the time quite a bit.

I like track numbers better myself and with stock cams I ran a 7.98@84.6 on an n/a pass in the 1/8, so my car has always ran strong for a 2-valve.

As I said in the other thread, "There is NO WAY 21 lb/h injectors, on their own at 40 psi, are putting 298 HP to the wheels."

Be my guest and scroll down to May 20 on the link below and if you are paying attention you might see a Redfire 2004 Mustang GT and if you look close enough you will spot the 21 lb/h injectors.

Here is a link that shows the dyno sheet and two videos, one from an n/a run and the other from a nitrous run.

I apologize, I did not read that. That I am old is one excuse, that it is not possible for 21 lb/h injectors to support 298 rwHP (SAE corrected), at 40 psi is another. They would have to be running at 105% duty cycle.
That is why Ford put 24 lb/h injectors in the 305 fwHP, 260 at the wheels, Mach 1s...
