In the power levels of roughly 499rwhp and lower, long tubes have TOO much flow so our engines can't create hardly any back pressure which our engines need up until we rev higher which therefore causes us to loose boost. Around 500-800rwhp (maybe more) the exhaust that is coming out is much more plentiful to the point where it creates back pressure and the LT's are just asking for more. Hopefully this answers your question.
