Default Tensioner adapter plates

In my timing kit, there are metal " Gaskets/Shims" for the tensioners. (between the tensioner and block.) My engine didnt have them when I disassembled it. (00 4.6 windsor). do I use them or toss 'em. ????

as long as you don't have any rubbing issues and ur chains are lined up don't bother with them.

^+1 If the little metal nipple on the tensioner is in contact with the center of the guide without pushing it one way or another I wouldn't worry about it. I've tossed a few sets of those during rebuilds and have never had a need for them.
