All the mustangs gts from 79 to present have an 8.8 and pinion so price should be the same.

That would be the way to go for the top end for sure. I've heard somewhere that the IM and the heads just as bolt-ons are a good 25-40hp boost, not sure if this was ever verified or not though.

Ive seen non pi headed 2vs with full bolt ons including long tubes and they only put down 190rwhp not sure what they put down bone stock but long tubes and bolt ons get expensive, first step would be put that money towards the headswap in my opinion.

I did a PI swap on a stock and I mean bone stock 98 gt, after a tune it put down like 265 RWHP or so. So not to beat a dead horse but do the head swap, then bolt ons.

Do use shorty headers. Stay stock or go long tubes.
