Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 99/01 vs the 03-04 cobra seats? they seem to look similar to me? any improvements in material or bolstering? any quick way to tell the difference?

I could be wrong on this. 99's had all leather seats similar if not the same as the gt's. 01-03 are the same seats, having dark leather with lighter grey alcantara center. 04 had leather and black alcantara center. Mystics had a totally different seat leather special to that car. 04 seems to be the seats everyone wants including myself.

That actually seems right. Now that I remember, the 99's did have regular GT seats where as the 01's had seats that appeared very similar to the 03-04s...I thought maybe there may be some small change in bolstering or something else not as noticeable.

'99 Cobras are the same as the stock GT leather.
'01 had a suede insert, but lacked the larger bolstering that the 03/04 offered (they were more like the Bullitt and Mach 1 had). 03/04 suede section went all the way to the top of the seat.

That's exactly what I was looking for. I didn't realize the difference in looks until you posted those pics side-by-side

I've had both styles, and prefer the 03/04 more for comfort.
