Racing Seat Install Questions

Racing Seat Install Questions
After the last trip to the track, I've determined that I really don't like the factory seats. They really seem to have a lack of side bolsters.
I've been shopping around for some racing seats and was wondering if I would be giving up the electric functions of the drivers seat when I do the swap. It's not really a big deal but something that I would like to know and be prepared for.
While were on it, anyone have any seat recommendations? Probably won't be going with a five point harness just yet but it would be nice to have the ability to in the future.

I believe most of your aftermarket "racing" seats will be without electronics. This is due to the weight. Outside of comfort and fitment to you, they are a weight reduction mod. So yes in most cases, looking at deleting electronics. Not to say they cant be found or made. In most cases. Go to late model restoration. American muscle mustangs unlimited. Youll find plenty. Best thing to do is go sit in some and try them out. Only way to find out for sure. Racey imports almost always have seats done.y

What you are looking for is actually a 'sport seat'. A 'race seat' would be something like an all aluminum Kirky.
All of Corbeau's seats have brackets that allow you to attach the seat to the power slider on the Mustang. I don't suggest it though, as the seat physically sits much higher to clear all the junk. I've tried it, and ended up swapping to their slide rail.
I have had a lot of luck with Corbeau seats and will continue to use them. Depending on what you are looking for, the A4 is a good seat that still allows you access to the back seat.
