Ever since the day I bought 02 GT, about a month ago, the oil pressure gauge will continuously drop down to zero and then go back up to the normal pressure. Sometimes it stays at zero for about up to 5 minutes and goes up, the pressure will normal for a while and then go back down.

I have replaced the sending unit twice, but the problem was not fixed. The dealership I bought it from checked the pressure manually while it was in there shop and they said it maintained oil pressure the whole time. And now they want to send my gauge cluster out to have it looked at.

But I would like to know, could it be something simpler? I could pull the cluster myself and look at it, if they did it I would be driving with no cluster for about a week and half. Any help is appreciated.

Or you could put an after market mechanical gauge in it and forget it. Plus have accurate oil pressure.

Or you could order a gauge cluster on ebay..

The gauges like pull out of the cluster, so if u find a junkyard cluster u can just pull the OP gauge out of it, pretty sure the 3.8s have the same OP gauges as well.
