I have an 04 roush that has bolt ons and other small performance parts just as a DD. I just installed comp 262 cams in with stock valve springs and everything else being stock. The 30+ people that I've talked to that installed the cams said they were basically drop on and go. I'm a mechanic so the build was properly torqued and inspected. Well needless to say the fire up was less than satisfying. The car idled like it was butthurt and backfired like crazy. But the biggest issue was SUPER slow rev. Like unGodly slow. Acted like the timing was off but I tore it down again to double check and it was perfect. I'm wondering if its just a tune need or something more serious. you deffinantly need a dyno tune.

. I agree but I've never heard of a car acting like that even detuned. But I guess the next step is getting it on a dyno.

+ 1 on the dyno tune. Similar thing happen to a buddy of mines when he installed HP cams. What part of Missouri are you from and where do you plan on taking her?
