Default Fender Swap?

Once again, one of my family members hit my PARKED car in the driveway. This time, it wasn't just a swipe on the bumper, but they actually creased my fender to the point that it's not worth trying to repair and it'd be easier to just buy a new one. This being said, I was contemplating a swap on some parts anyway and was examining the 1999 body style vs the 1998 and after some research, it looks like the fenders should almost be interchangeable.

It looks like there will need some slight modification, but they look pretty close. The problem would be the front bumper and headlights, so since I wanted to swap the bumper anyway, instead of getting a kit, I might as well put on a 1999 style bumper and even go with a hood while I'm at it.

The bottom line is, does anyone know if swapping the fenders, front bumper, and hood will be a major pain if I take the 1999 style of each and attempt to put them on my 1998?

If anyone could let me know before I go out and buy the parts I'd appreciate it!

It won't work, the contours and lines on the side of the '98 are completely different from the '99

The contour is slightly different, but not by much. If that's the worst of the issue it shouldn't be so bad.

Well if what you're asking is will they fit the answer is yes. The 2 cars share the same chassis. The only real difference being the exterior sheet metal. So what you wanna do is possible, however it is also going to look retarded to anyone who isn't blind.

But maybe I'm wrong and it will be the most awesome thing ever. Please post pictures when you're done.

How can you even think the 2 are close and would look good. This idea is about as dumb as that idiot that put a 99/04 front end on a Ranger

Just leave the dented fender on it, it will look better then a new edge fender.

Hey, Ray.

Your "New Ride" doesn't have New Edge fenders. Too lazy to swap them in Photoshop?
