Default 2001 Mustang GT Conv Driver Side Window Won't Roll Down

My driver side window on my 2001 Mustang GT convertible will not roll down.
I replaced the switch but that didn't work.
I took the door panel off and unplugged the motor from the wiring harness and then applied voltage directly to the leads going to the motor. The window will roll up or down by reversing the polarity applied to the leads.
I turned the key on and tested the plug from the wiring harness and I get power to the plug when I push up but not down.

I then checked at the connector at the switch and get voltage for both the up and down direction. if I check the voltage between the 2 wires connected to the driver switch, the polarity will change from about 14 volts positive to negative while the car is running. so I am getting good power to the switch.
I have a Haynes repair manual with a wiring diagram, but some of the wire colors do not match. mine at the switch are white / black and tan / blue. the tan/blue is used on both the driver and passenger side window switches.

in the diagram it shows a one touch down power window module which could be the issue but I am having trouble finding it.

Would this be the problem? if so where can I find it on a 2001 Mustang GT Convertible?

Man I had the same exact problem on my gt I tried everything and anything from fuses to wires looking for shorts anything. One day I had a friend mention to take the switch panel out and push the driver side window button down then with your other hand grab the door and slam it shut, cause the motors in there get dust and crap on them supposedly and locks them up I did just as he mentioned and since then I have never had a problem with it going up or down try that see if that helps you out.

Some additional information.
I found that I was able to open the door part way and the driver side window would roll down. I was only able to get it to do this for a short time and now it will not roll down with the door open part way. Sounds like an open in the wiring harness, but what would be the best way to prove it?

Also just in case it is something wrong with the module, where is the one touch down power window module located?
