Drive belt smell?

Drive belt smell?

Just repalced the alt and drive belt. Now I'm getting a strange smell kinda like a skunk which seems to be comming from the belt. What could this be?

everything alligned properly? How long has it been since you put it on? Maybe it just has to wear in a bit , as in it had some kind of factory coating... ??

Just put it on and drove about sixty miles out to dinner and back tonight.

Does it seem to run like it did? Give it a few days. You haven't noticed any other probs? No indicator lights?
