Personally I would go and get a new hub for it. I don't know what year car you have, but you can generally get a new hub for them pretty cheap.

I used a cutoff wheel to cut off the back of a manifold stud on an exhaust system for the same reason (spun with the nut). After the back was cut off, I pounded the stud out that way. It was pretty easy. I had some room to work though. Not sure if you do?

No. There wasn't much room with the wheel mounted.

It's a 2003. I'll look into another hub. The lug is already on it's way.

After checking the fit, I decided to install the new stud yesterday. It was fine. Took about an hour total using a basic flat washer and nut from a local mom and pop hardware store.
