Default smoke from driver side tail pipe

I drove my car to the store today, a few mile drive, and got out and the driver side tail pipe was smoking, with the car turned off, and was wet in the tail pipe. The passenger side didn't do it. I'm worried it might be a head gasket or something pricey. My car doesn't have cats, o/r x.

any ideas?

I just checked my fluids, oil is clean as could be, and coolant looks and smells just like coolant. Maybe just condensation siting in the muffler that hasn't burned yet?

Remember that water is in fact, a byproduct of combustion. So some vapor and even a little water in the tail pipe on humid or cold days is 100% normal. Especially in a car with no cats because the exhaust is much cooler than in a car with converters.

Okay, that makes me feel better because that's the only time i drove my car today and it didn't really even get up to operating temperature. Guess I just never noticed it until now.

I vote you have water build up in your muffler. Unless you're smoking a thick white, blue or black then you're probably fine.

Pretty sure its just condensation. Do your engine a favor and run it on the Interstate for a while.
