I have an 01 Mustang 4.6L that is running Super, Super rich. The motor was transplanted from a Mustang into a Jeep Wrangler. I purchased the wire Harness from RJM Injection Tech along with the custom tune in an SCT hand held unit. RJM is as worthless as worthless can be, fair warning, do NOT ever buy anything from that company. Anyway, the harness seems to ring out correctly with the sensors to the correct pins and I replaced the MAF, IAT, CAM, Crank and the (2) font O2 sensors with Ford OE sensors. Also have new and replaced again new spark plugs. I can just barley get the engine to start and when it does all 4 plugs in the right bank turn black with carbon and all 4 in the left bank are dripping with fuel. I just tried another custom tune from JMS Chip & Performanace and that does not seem to change anything. The motor was running in the donor car when I purchased it and the computer is the one from that car as well. Any thoughts as what can be making it run likes this?? Totally baffled at this point.

Is this engine stock? Are you running a tune for a custom set-up with a stock engine? I wonder if the tune is meant for a set-up that takes in much more air. Have you tried running on the stock tune?

Is it a stock Mustang 4.6, 2V MAF?

Stock injectors (should be orange)?

What is the fuel pressure, should be 28 psi or so, at the rail at idle?

What sort of fuel system are you running, has the tune been set to run with whatever fuel supply you are running?
