2001 Cobra or 2003 Mach 1
I'm looking to get an 01 Cobra or an 03 Mach 1. The cobra is priced at $13999 with 35789 miles while the Mach 1 is at 88000 miles at $12999. Is it a no-brainer to get the Cobra because of the low original miles? I'm not familar with possible defects in either cars but from what ive read a lot of people prefer the mach but both cars seem excellent and the mileage is a little high. Both cars are offered through dealerships and so I don't have to deal with private party. Any advice would be appreciated!

From what I understand, they are very similar cars, engine-wise. Both 4-valve, similar power ratings, same transmission (for the manual at least, since the Cobra has no auto)... I think one of the main differences is the Cobra has an IRS and the Mach has a solid axle, and many people prefer one over the over. I think the gear ratios are a bit different as well. I've heard that the Cobra is a bit more mod-friendly if that matters, but I can't say for sure...
For me, they're close enough in terms of power and performance that it would come down to taste and condition of the vehicles in question...

Buy whichever car fits your personal criteria. It's kind of pointless to ask other guys their preferences concerning mileage vs. model.
That said, I walked into a Ford dealer to buy an '04 Mustang Cobra and after finding out the Mach 1 was more than a wheels a stripe package, drove out with a Mach 1.
Buy what you want.
In my opinion, the Mach 1 has more charisma and presence than a Mustang Cobra. I think it's the best looking SN95/New Edge.

In 03' my wife TOLD ME to buy a new Mach 1 for our weekend car, But no.....I wanted a Convertible. I paid no attention to the Mach 1, it looked like stripes with a cool Hood. A month or so passed and I convinced her we needed a new Boat instead. We still have the Boat and we still love it. See what happens when we don't listen to our wife's. Anyway, not sure if I made a mistake or not, but it would be sweet to have a super clean garage kept Mach 1 now.

Ya you made a mistake always listen to your wife. There are just forces in the universe men can't begin to understand :P
Crazy expensive for a Mach1 with those miles though, I would only go up to 9,500 max. And if it was not Grabber Orange I would not buy it :P
