I have an Off road X and Magnaflow "staright-thru" mufflers. That's about as close as you are gonna get to no cats and no mufflers. My car sounds good, not loud at idle or cruise at all, but screams at WOT....

i have an 03 gt and dont have the money for exhaust yet really. so i pretty much just unbolted the muffler and have a huge exhuast leak i guess you could say. it sounds pretty awesome i think. it gives a REALLY bad drone on the highway tho. but i like it better than stock even with the drone so i keep it. i kno my car is a little newer but its still the basic 4.6 right? i dunno i think it should be the same sound pretty much. i wanna save up for an o/r h pipe and slp lmII's eventually tho
there are 2 mufflers and you are just going to lose your exhaust system on a bump.
i wonder how much pressure is on the manifold bolts? there isn't any hangers until the muffler. that cant be good on the heads all that wieght hanging on them.

Screw it just unbolt the exhaust manifold off the block and remove the exhaust completely. I did and it sounds really mean.

So you're either being sarcastic, lying, or you are letting all of your exhaust gases and heat go straight into your engine bay.
